Christine Hume

Christine Hume's Musca Domestica was the the 1999 Barnard New Women Poets Award winner (Beacon Press). Her work is published in Agni, American Writing: the Next Generation (Carnegie Mellon 2000), Best American Poetry 1997, Boston Review, Conjunctions, Colorado Review, Fence, The New Republic, Volt and others. In addition, she has received recent grants and fellowships from the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA; the Fund for Poetry; the Colorado Council on the Arts; Writers at Work; the Rocky Mountain Women's Institute; and the Wurlitzer Foundation. In the fall she will begin teaching at Eastern Michigan University.
